Drivers will encounter traffic variations on the following state roads in Okaloosa County as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
- Perry Avenue (State Road 145) resurfacing from U.S. 98 to Eglin Parkway: Intermittent lane closures throughout the project; most of the traffic impacts will be near Chestnut Avenue SE and Ferry Road SE, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Tuesday, June 6 as crews perform drainage work.
- South Ferdon Boulevard construction activities: Driveway construction north of Redstone Avenue Wednesday, May 31. Southbound lane restrictions will be in effect between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- State Road 123 widening from north of Toms Creek to north of Turkey Creek: intermittent lane closures and alternating lane shifts continue as crews place the final layer of asphalt on the roadway. One lane in each direction will be maintained. Once all work is complete, both north and southbound lanes will open to traffic.
- U.S. 98 maintenance and repair of underground stormwater drainage, from Gulf Shore Drive to Airport Road in Destin: intermittent westbound lane restrictions from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday as crews clean and seal pipe joints along the trunk line, adjacent manhole, and curb inlet structures.
