CRESTVIEW — Here are highlights involving area students: 

  • Laura Liberty Elaine Sites of Crestview has a 4.0 grade point average, putting her on the William Carey University president's list for the winter trimester. In addition, Sites was inducted into the Alpha Gamma Gamma chapter of Sigma Tau Delta English honor society. Admission to the chapter is open to undergraduate and graduate students with an overall “B” average in English courses and ranking in the highest 35 percent of the student’s class in general scholarship. 
  • Christopher Blaine of Crestview is on the Troy University chancellor's list for Term 3 of the 2016/2017 academic year. Chancellor's list students must be full-time undergraduates registered for at least 12 semester hours, who earn a grade point average of 4.0.

  • Caleb Overton, a music major at Harding University from Crestview, is among more than 1,300 Harding students included on the dean's list for grades achieved during the spring 2017 semester. The dean's list is published each semester by Dr. Marty Spears, university provost, honoring those who have achieved high scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.

  • Patrick Blizzard of Crestview is on the Troy University provost's list for Term 3 of the 2016/2017 academic year. Provost list students must be full-time undergraduates registered for at least 12 semester hours, who have a grade point average of at least 3.65.
  • Wesley Moore Bowers of Crestview has at least a 3.5 GPA, putting him on the William Carey University dean's list for the winter semester.
