Baker Gators set scrimmages, pancake breakfast and car wash

BAKER — The Baker School middle, junior varsity and varsity football teams will celebrate their undefeated 2016-2017 season with scrimmages, alumni flag football and a Powder Puff championship followed by a fundraiser for the upcoming school year. A ring ceremony for the varsity's 14-0 season is also scheduled.

Scrimmages begin 4 p.m. May 12 at the school, 1369 14th St., Baker.

Here is the schedule:

4 p.m.: 10th-graders versus 11th-graders in two 20-minute halves

5 p.m.: ninth-graders versus 12-graders in two 20-minute halves

6 p.m: alumni flag football

7 p.m.: Varsity/Junior Varsity/Middle School scrimmage

8 p.m.: 2016 varsity 14-0 ring ceremony

8:15 p.m.: Powder Puff Championship

The cost is $5 to attend the games and ceremony.

An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast fundraiser is 8-10 a.m. May 13 in the school lunchroom. The cost is $5 per person, and students will provide free car washes at the bus ramp.

Tickets for both events are available in advance from Baker football students, or at the door and gate the days of each event.

All funds raised go toward team equipment purchases and expenses for the 2017-2018 season.
