Crestview man faces assault, other charges

CRESTVIEW — A Crestview man faces charges of battery, aggravated assault, and child abuse, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office media release.

Eric Culpepper, 39, of 1855 Riverview Drive, allegedly punched and pushed a victim at the residence and caused a large mirror to fall onto a six-year-old child during a Jan. 2 disturbance at the home.

According to the OSCO report, the victim says Culpepper punched her, pulled her hair, and pushed her during an argument and also pointed a black shotgun at her. A child at the home said that during the fight, Culpepper allegedly knocked things over, causing a large mirror to fall onto the child's leg. 

Deputies say the woman had swelling and dried blood on her mouth and nose, as well as scratches and a bruise.
