CRESTVIEW — Volunteers walked to raise money for the American Cancer Society at the April 20 Relay For Life at Crestview High School. Relay For Life also helps communities across the globe celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.
According to the event page, individuals and teams raised $66,274.09.
Relay is a team-oriented fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track. Events can be 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member walking at all times to represent cancer’s persistent nature.
