Going to or watching a college football game is like having a new girlfriend or boyfriend, with all the anticipation and expectations, and with your adrenaline running so fast and the excitement that carries repeatedly.
Then, when it is over, do you have a smile on your face for winning another date or are you sad and not sure how you could have gone so wrong?
Week seven is full of upsets this week. Does the train out of Alabama get derailed? Can the Seminoles take another loss? Are there too many Hurricanes on the field in Miami? And who said the Buckeyes are the team to beat for the National Championship?
Here are the picks:
Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs. Florida State: Seminoles bring upset #1; this could be the game of the week to watch right in front of 83,000-plus Florida State fans. Demons by 3.
N.C. State Wolfpack vs. Clemson Tigers: Believe it or not, this is the ACC Game of the Week. It’s going to be close. Tigers by 7 in the game’s last five minutes.
Duke Blue Devils vs. Louisville Cardinals: The birds fly high in this game — way too fast for the Blue Devils to keep up. Cardinals only by 12.
North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Miami Hurricanes: Upset #2. The Tar Heels have this in the bag, but the bookies and the southern part of Florida would think it’s an upset. Tar Heels by 10.
Virginia Tech Hokies vs. Syracuse Orange Men: The Hokies use this game as a tune-up for Miami. Virginia Tech by 21.
Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Tennessee Heart Attack U (SEC Game of the Week): The Alabama Express Train is coming to Knoxville, Tenn. Will it go home as the Chattanooga Choo Choo? Upset 3 — Heart Attack U by 6.
Ole Miss Rebels vs. Arkansas Razorbacks: This is going to be a hard-fought game. Rebels on top by 12.
Missouri Tigers vs. Florida Gators: Because of Hurricane Matthew, the Gators had a week off and they are ready to go. Gators by 14.
Southern Miss Golden Eagles vs. LSU Tigers: The Tigers were also off a week because of Matthew; must be careful in this one — Tigers by 6.
Vanderbilt Commodores vs. Georgia Dawgs: The Commodores need to just stay on the boat. Dawgs by a lot.
Tie Breaker: You pick the score on this one plus the winner. Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Wisconsin Badgers.
