CHELCO prepares for bad Northwest Florida weather

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS — Choctawhatchee Electrical Cooperative continuously prepares for the threat of storms to hit the Northwest Florida area.

According to the National Weather Service, Tropical Storm Hermine is not a direct threat to our area. CHELCO will continue to monitor the storm and line crews are on stand-by in case conditions such as heavy rain and strong winds cause outages.
